Hello Berks County! It's no secret that the county loves cars. Races, cruises, and parades of food trucks are spectacles to enjoy. They're once-in-a-while treats that you can't miss out on. In the 2nd edition of Best of Berks, if you loved a cruise night and wished you could have more, we have you covered. Your heart will rev up with three cruise nights and a race happening these next two weeks. Buckle up and join us in this Best of Berks edition for races, revving, and rewards!

Before taking off down the highway of awesome events, don't forget there's always an empty billboard that could have your event for free on BerksCal! Action Track USA's Ronnie Tobias Memorial Race

  • When: Wed., July 18th, 6:30pm - 10:30pm
  • Where: Action Track USA, 144 N. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, PA
  • Cost: 
    • General admission - $18
    • Senior Citizens - $15
    • Children 6 to 11 - $8
    • Kids under 5 - FREE!

The 2nd edition starts with a flying lap over the starting line! In just a few days, grab a seat and watch the excitement soar at Action Track USA. Multiple races are running at Kutztown's Fairgrounds, including the Hyper Racing 600, the All Star Slingshots, and the USAC All-Pro SpeedSTRs Twin 20-lap features. Before looking at clean classics this week, why not play in the dirt with dirt track racing on a beautiful Wednesday? This much dirt track racing for dirt cheap prices can't be ignored. It's sure to be the perfect break in the middle of the week, and a great start for the Best of Berks features!

Cruise Night 2018: Celebrating American Ingenuity

  • When: Sat., July 21st, 4pm - 9pm
  • Where: N. & S. Reading Avenues / Route 562, Boyertown, PA
  • Cost: FREE to attend! (Register price for vehicles: $10 - $15 ) 

After an awesome night with dirt track racing, it's time for the first of three county cruise nights. Boyertown's clearing its avenues for the 2018 Boyertown Cruise Night. Building A Better Boyertown is hosting a grand event for car fans all over! There's going to be a pie eating contest, awesome food, great music (including the Ultra King's Rock&Roll and Blues music), a moon bounce, dash plaques, row-on-rows of vendors, and even a first annual beer garden from the Free Will Brewing Company. Enjoy all of this for free this coming Saturday! It's an event so big the entire town's involved in making it a celebration of classics.

The Bridge Church's 4th Annual Cruise Night

  • When: Thur., July 26th, 5pm - 9pm
  • Where: The Bridge Church, 3561 Old Route 22, Hamburg, PA
  • Cost: FREE! (BBQ are $6 each, first come first serve) 

After a cruise down Boyertown, we take a drive north to Hamburg and to the Bridge Church for number two of three cruise getaways! The Men's Ministry of Bridge Church invites one and all to join them for a great evening together. Guests are invited to bring classic bikes, trucks, cars, and all sorts of vehicles to the church. There's also a Pit Crew Challange event, giveaways, and hours of tasty food from a Smokey Bear BBQ. After checking out Boyertown's awesome rides, check out Hamburg's best while hanging out with fellowship, BBQ, and just a classic summer's evening. Who knows? You might see vehicles from the Boyertown cruise night show up for an encore!

The 4th Annual Kutztown Kruizz

  • When: Saturday, July 28th, 12pm - 5pm
  • Where: Main Street of Kutztown, PA
  • Cost: FREE to attend! (Registration for vehicle: $10 - $15)

Boyertown and Hamburg put on quite the show, but now it's Kutztown's turn to put on a different kind of Kruizz! Take a short drive east to Kutztown and enjoy crafts, cruises, and classic cars all along Main Street. Cars will be on display up and down the street, with loads of awards, restaurant & business specials to enjoy, a 50/50 raffle, dash plaques, goodie bags for everyone, and so much more. There's even a live concert and entertainment from "Shake, Rattle, and Soul" and "The Fabulous Greaseband" later in the day! With over 350 cars lined up on Main Street during 2017's Kutztown Kruizz and with 50+ cars already registered for this Kutztown Kruizz, you know you're in for a grand finale to your work week with Kutztown's classic Kruizz.
